  • PALMA CATHEDRAL

    CITY OF PALMA

    Built on the site of a pre-existing Arab mosque, the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma was designed in the Catalan Gothic style and adopted by Antoni Gaudí idea during his take-over project. It situated on between Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the Episcopal palace and overlooks to Parc de la Mar and the Mediterranean Sea.

    Built by Guillem Sagrera on 14th century, it is well-known as masterpieces of Gothic civil architecture in Mallorca and regarded as the college of merchants. This monument is the symbol of the economic splendor of the merchants in fifteenth century and was the president chair in the Paseo Sagrera, situated right opposite the sea.

  • THE ARABIC BATHS

    Located in the old town of Palma de Malloca, the Arabic bath is virtually considered as one of the few examples of Muslim architectures in Palma dated back to 10th century. It consists of a central room used for hot baths and the tepidarium has a dome in the shape of a half orange, with 25 round shafts for sun light, supported by a dozen different columns.
